$9 million is to be invested by the United Nations into Open Source technology to save children’s lives.

Unicef’s Innovation Fund will see 60 startups receiving $50,000 each, Wired.co.uk reported that the startups will be funded by the United Nations to create open source technologies to improve the lives of children in developing countries.
